Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This is a long-term contract opportunity where you will play a key role in managing accounting functions and providing month-end support. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, particularly in Excel, and familiarity with accounting systems such as Oracle, NetSuite, or SAP.

Job Responsibility:

Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and analyze discrepancies
Manage bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding items promptly
Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately
Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close process
Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including reporting and analysis
Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to create financial models and reports
Work with accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP to streamline processes and maintain data integrity
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with US accounting standards
Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the implementation of best practices

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis
Proficiency in account reconciliation and balance sheet analysis
Strong understanding of general ledger management and journal entries
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
Experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting
Familiarity with accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP
Knowledge of US accounting standards and practices
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
