Job Description:

We are looking to add a Senior Accountant to the Honolulu Team of Full-Time Engagement Professionals. This role requires someone with a strong attention to detail and a solid background in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and month-end close processes. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while collaborating across teams to meet organizational goals. Job Responsibility:

Prepare and review journal entries to ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies
Conduct detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies
Analyze financial data to uncover trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements
Perform variance analysis and provide insights into changes in financial performance
Develop supporting schedules and disclosures for external reporting purposes
Lead projects related to fixed asset accounting, including depreciation, amortization, and impairment testing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and address accounting issues
Promote teamwork and knowledge-sharing within the department to achieve shared objectives

Requirements:

A minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with expertise in month-end close processes and financial reporting
Proficiency in account reconciliation, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
Solid understanding of fixed asset accounting and related processes
Familiarity with variance analysis and external reporting requirements
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across teams
