Job Description:

A Primary School in the DH6 area with a high percentage of SEND pupils is seeking a dedicated SEND Specialist Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a meaningful impact every day.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing tailored support for pupils with SEND across the school
  • Assisting with learning activities, personal development, and social skills
  • Supporting pupils to access the curriculum and achieve their potential
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCO, and other specialists to implement strategies

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEND
  • Knowledge of strategies to support pupils with a range of needs
