A well-regarded and established SEN school in the Liverpool area is urgently looking to hire a top-quality SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist team without delay.This position is a secure, full-time, long-term opportunity for an individual prepared to provide essential, dedicated support to students who require customised educational focus.

Job Responsibility:

Deliver structured 1:1 and small-group support sessions for primary students with formal Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) or specific complex needs
Adjust the learning environment and educational materials to ensure maximum accessibility and inclusion, always fostering student autonomy
Work closely with the SEN Coordinator (SENCO) and class teachers to carefully track progress, prepare reports for statutory meetings, and help define future learning targets
Provide consistent pastoral care and reassurance, acting as a reliable, positive influence to help students confidently navigate the daily school routine

Requirements:

A minimum of six months proven professional experience within a UK school setting, supporting pupils with various Special Educational Needs (e.g., ASD, Moderate Learning Difficulties)
Exceptional patience, resilience, and empathy, with demonstrated skills in managing challenging behaviour and de-escalation techniques
The superior ability to establish clear, professional, and effective communication with students, parents/carers, and the whole staff team
An unwavering full-time commitment and availability for the entire duration of the long-term contract
Must hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or be immediately willing to complete a new application
