Job Description:

Justteachers is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a special needs primary school in Northampton. This full-time position starts ASAP or January 2026 and continues throughout the academic year with potential for permanent placement. You’ll support pupils aged 4–11 with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.

Job Responsibility:

Assist the class teacher with tailored learning activities
Support individual pupils with communication and engagement
Help maintain routines, behaviour, and personal care where needed
Use visuals and assistive tools to aid understanding
Contribute to a calm and positive classroom environment

Requirements:

Experience in education or care settings
Empathetic, reliable, and proactive attitude
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to get one
Two references within the last two years from a relative field.
