Job Description:

Lead a supportive classroom and develop bright young minds in a thriving school environment. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with a range of SEN, including ASD, MLD, SLD, and SLCN. You'll work collaboratively with a supportive team of professionals, including teaching assistants and specialist SEN staff, to create a positive and stimulating learning environment. You will foster a sense of community within the classroom, encouraging students to reach their full potential.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and implement individualised education programs (IEPs) for students
  • Create engaging and differentiated lesson plans to cater to diverse learning styles and needs
  • Collaborate with support staff to provide a stimulating learning environment
  • Track student progress and provide regular feedback to parents/guardians
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records

Requirements:

  • Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience teaching students with SEN in a primary school setting
  • Experience working with students with ASD, MLD, SLD, and SLCN is essential
  • Proven ability to develop and implement IEPs
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
