Job Description:

Justteachers is partnering with a primary school in Towcester seeking a 1:1 Support Assistant for a pupil with autism and communication needs. The role begins after February half term on a part‑time, long‑term basis.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day
  • Implement communication strategies and visual supports
  • Assist with emotional regulation and behaviour
  • Support academic tasks and personalised learning
  • Encourage social interaction and independence

Requirements:

  • Experience with SEMH, mentoring, or youth work
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Resilient, empathetic, and consistent approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain)
  • Two references from the last 2 years
