Job Description:

As a Security Guard - Tech Site - Overnight Shift in Sioux Falls, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence and conducting routine patrols, all while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Job Responsibility:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the location
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior
  • Monitor the premises for any unusual activity and report findings according to Allied Universal protocols
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and helping to manage entry points as required
  • Work closely with site personnel and/or management to address security-related concerns specific to a technology-driven environment
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or issues as required by site policies and Allied Universal standards

Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
