Job Description:

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol - Weekdays in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. This armed and driving post involves conducting routine patrols, responding to situations with professionalism, and delivering exceptional customer service. Job Responsibility:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and communication skills
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the assigned government location, including the building and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity
  • Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and other equipment as required for armed posts
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions or security-related concerns within the government environment
  • Collaborate with site personnel and/or law enforcement as directed during incidents or emergencies

Requirements:

  • Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
