As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol - Weekdays in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. Job Responsibility:
Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and communication skills
Conduct regular and random patrols of the assigned government location, including the building and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity
Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and other equipment as required for armed posts
Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior
Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions or security-related concerns within the government environment
Collaborate with site personnel and/or law enforcement as directed during incidents or emergencies
Requirements:
Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent
Must be at least 21 years of age
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Participate in industry-specific security training programs
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
