As a Control Room Operator, you will be entrusted with critical decision-making that directly impacts safety, service delivery, and incident outcomes. You will develop a deep understanding of security operations, emergency response coordination, and stakeholder communication, positioning you as a trusted operational hub during high-profile events. This is a high-responsibility role for someone who can juggle multiple priorities, thrives under pressure, and takes pride in following process with precision.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor live operations via CCTV and integrated security systems
Respond quickly and calmly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies
Support emergency response coordination
Control access to restricted zones
Log incidents and reports with precision
Maintain operational readiness by checking and managing essential equipment and systems
Provide high-quality security services
Operate and utilise ACESGroup’s technology platforms
Maintain accurate records and complete reports through digital systems
Collaborate with team members and management to enhance operational efficiency
Requirements:
Hold a current NSW 1A Security Licence (minimum 12 months)
Control Room Operator (CRO) experience
Confident operating in a fast-paced, live-event environment
Communicate clearly, stay composed under pressure, and work effectively in a team
Flexible and committed to working a 24/7 rotating roster
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Competency Card (current)
First Aid and CPR (current)
Customer service experience
Superior communication skills (written and verbal)
Exceptional personal presentation
Reliability and punctuality
Ability to work on a 24/7 rotating roster
Ability to pass a LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital) test
Full NSW Driver Licence
Traffic Control and Implement Traffic Management Plan certificates/cards (or willing to obtain)
White Card (or willing to obtain)
Fire Warden + Chief Warden + Confine Small Emergencies (or willing to obtain)
