Job Description:

Our client, a defense contractor located at Naval Base Point Mugu near Camarillo, CA, is seeking two Secret Cleared Software Developers – System Software for full-time employment. The Software Developers will work onsite on a 9/80 schedule and support Naval Air mission planning, ELINT, and Electronic Warfare (EW) systems. These roles involve developing and testing operating systems-level software, supporting embedded systems, defining requirements, and partnering closely with government personnel and OEMs to ensure system performance and program success.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in software development supporting system-level or embedded environments
  • 3+ years of experience using C++, C#, or Python in object-oriented development
  • 2+ years of experience working within Visual Studio or similar development environments
  • 2+ years of experience supporting software testing, validation, and defect tracking
  • Experience working with Microsoft and Linux operating systems
  • Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting system and software requirements
  • BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. 6 additional years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree, or 4 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted with a related associate degree
  • U.S. Citizenship with an active DoD Secret security clearance

Nice to have:

  • Experience supporting Electronic Warfare systems such as APR-39, ALR-67, or ALQ-214
  • 1+ years of experience supporting aerospace, defense, or military communications systems
  • Embedded systems development experience
  • Experience developing test plans, participating in acceptance testing, and generating technical reports
  • Familiarity with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Engineering Review Boards (ERBs), and formal test processes
  • Prior experience supporting DoD programs or working in a classified environment
