This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.
Job Responsibility:
Seal, fillet and fay, cap seal, brush coat, etc. for major assemblies, sub-assemblies, precision bench and integral fuel cell
Apply scotch cast, leveling compound, aerodynamic seal and pressure test
Work from drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements and established processes and procedures
Requirements:
Willing and able to work any shift, including alternative work weeks
Must pass the WorkKeys Assessment (workkeys.com) or provide verification of passing
Must present two (2) forms of identification for WorkKeys Assessment verification
Must meet export control compliance requirements
Must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
Work with blueprints, changes, specifications, work orders, etc. sealing to quality requirements
Complete required data gathering transactions
Perform any and all required pickup, rework, fabrication, change incorporation, functional testing or check
Use measuring instruments as required
Report and/or investigate job handicaps
Support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training, coaching and assisting employees
Document any discrepancies according to specification, process, and procedure
Temporarily attach parts and or assemblies, install collars and other hardware
