We are looking for a Scientific Assistant to work in the Animal Health Team. Job Responsibility:

  • Provide technical-scientific support in the collection and analysis of epidemiological data on animal diseases
  • Contribute to the preparation of scientific opinions and documents on risk assessment and disease control
  • Support the organization and documentation of working group meetings and expert consultations
  • Conduct scientific literature reviews (systematic reviews) on specific pathogens or biosecurity measures
  • Assist in the preparation of communications and presentations on risk assessment findings
  • Collaborate in the drafting of guidelines and protocols for disease surveillance and management in wildlife
  • Participate in the reporting process of the EUPAHW project results to relevant stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of English (at least C1 level)
  • Previous experience in animal health, biosecurity, epidemiology, disease control, risk assessment
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in animal health, biosecurity, epidemiology and/or related areas
  • Behavioural competencies: working with others, analysis and problem solving, drive for results, good level of autonomy

  • Guide clients through hay and silage production planning — including crop selection, timing of harvest, and quality assessments to ensure consistent feed value year-round
  • Analyse feed and water test results to assess nutritional risks and develop seasonal mineral supplementation programs aligned with livestock requirements
  • Work closely with rural stores to deliver product training, seasonal planning, and support related to the company’s proprietary mineral supplement range (TPM)
