Job Description:

Science Academic Mentor position with salaried teacher training opportunity at an outstanding secondary school in Newham, London. Supporting students in 1:1 and small group intervention sessions while becoming a core member of the Science department.

Job Responsibility:

Supporting students across KS3, KS4 & KS5
Leading small group and 1:1 intervention sessions (including GCSE & A Level)
Assist the class teacher with general TA duties

Requirements:

1st Class or 2:1 Degree in Science or related Degree
Strong GCSEs & A Level academics with a desire to teach
Confident in Science knowledge when supporting students
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working with children and young people
