Job Description:

We are looking for an ambitious SAP Associate Controller to support the Regional Financial Controller for our Dutch dealer entities. You will work closely with the business (sales, operations, logistics) and Finance to provide insight into P&L performance, margins and key business drivers, while also acting as a key user for SAP within the finance area. We are in the process of standardizing and optimizing our finance and controlling processes across entities. This role offers the opportunity to help shape “one way of working” in SAP and reporting, and to work in a performance-driven environment inspired by the HD ownership mindset: lean structures, strong cost discipline, clear KPIs and continuous improvement. This is a great next step for someone with 2–3 years’ experience in controlling or financial analysis who wants to grow into a full controller role and enjoys working in SAP and in a change-oriented environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Act as SAP key user for the local finance team
  • Support monthly closing and reporting for several Dutch entities in EU Dealership (P&L, balance sheet, KPIs) in a reviewing role
  • Prepare and analyze margin development, including price/mix/volume and product/channel profitability
  • Compare Actuals vs Budget and Prior Year, explain variances and propose follow-up actions
  • Assist in the annual budget and periodic forecast processes
  • Perform standard costing checks and margin analysis together with local teams
  • Support the design, testing and implementation of SAP changes and new functionalities
  • Help ensure data quality and consistency in SAP (master data, cost centers, profit centers, etc.)
  • Prepare ad-hoc analyses for management (e.g. commercial performance, customer profitability, projects)
  • Contribute to further standardization and automation of finance and reporting processes
  • Support the review and documentation of SOX controls
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting, controls and finance processes

Requirements:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics or similar
  • 2–3 years of experience in controlling, financial analysis or audit
  • Practical experience with SAP
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proactive, curious and hands-on, with a strong sense of ownership
  • Comfortable working with multiple entities/brands and tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills
  • able to both challenge and support the business
  • Fluent in English

Nice to have:

  • Experience with BI/reporting tools (e.g. Power BI) is an advantage
  • Dutch is a strong plus
What we offer:

Competitive salary and an attractive benefits package
