Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual looking to develop a career in sales support while gaining technical and commercial expertise within a growing business. The Sales Support Engineer plays a vital role in supporting the Sales Team by maintaining strong client relationships, preparing accurate quotations and tenders, and identifying new business opportunities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients
  • Identify and act on opportunities to be nominated for new projects
  • Support Account Sales Managers in achieving sales targets
  • Prepare accurate, competitive, and technically sound quotations
  • Ensure tenders are submitted on time to meet customer deadlines
  • Follow up on quotations to maximise win rates
  • Proactively reach out to existing clients to generate new opportunities
  • Identify discrepancies in projects and advise clients early
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers and Sales Director on new leads
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales files, and documentation
  • Manage workload effectively to maximise productivity

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Relevant sales/customer service skills
  • Strong educational background - degree level or equivalent
  • Technical curiosity with willingness to learn
  • Ability to understand basic technical documentation
  • Strong IT skills
