Job Description:

The Sales Specialist Catering position at Meixi Lake Hotel, A Luxury Collection Hotel Changsha, involves using sales techniques to maximize revenue, addressing guest needs, processing reservations, and supporting Sales & Marketing office functions. Job Responsibility:

contact appropriate individual or department to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems
use sales techniques to maximize revenue
determine and give complimentaries to guests as gifts for their patronage
promote awareness of brand image
process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations
perform general office duties to support Sales & Marketing
assist management in training and motivating employees
ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
protect company assets
welcome and acknowledge all guests
develop and maintain positive working relationships
monitor performance to ensure quality standards

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
at least 2 years of related work experience
ability to use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty
ability to process requests for redeeming Marriott Rewards points
ability to perform general office duties such as filing, sending emails, typing, faxing
excellent communication skills to welcome and address guests’ service needs
ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships
ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance

Nice to have:

experience in training and motivating employees
ability to monitor others to ensure adherence to quality expectations
ability to read and visually verify information in a variety of formats
