Our Resort has an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality sales professional to join our dynamic team as a Senior Sales Manager! This individual will be responsible for guestroom, meeting and ancillary revenues, managing corporate groups of 41 or more in the Western half of the US and Canada. Duties also include strategic management of assigned territory, conducting site inspections, soliciting and generating new business and management of repeat business. As a member of our team, we also regularly interact with operations staff to ensure high level of customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for guestroom, meeting and ancillary revenues
Managing corporate groups of 41 or more in the Western half of the US and Canada
Strategic management of assigned territory
Conducting site inspections
Soliciting and generating new business
Management of repeat business
Regular interaction with operations staff to ensure high level of customer satisfaction
Timely follow up with customers, prospects, lead referrals as well as internal team members
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of resort sales experience in an upper upscale resort brand
Previous experience as a Group Sales Manager in a similar size resort of similar quality
Proven record of excellence through meeting or exceeding annual goals
History of going above and beyond with customer service
Ability to self-motivate
Strong team player
Willingness to learn
Excellent relationship-building and negotiating skills
Exceptional follow-through
Strong organizational skills
Strong time-management skills
Ability to utilize PC applications, including property management systems, database and Microsoft Office products
Strong communication skills
Ability to represent the resort in a professional manner at trade shows, networking events
Thorough understanding and knowledge of resort operations
Ability to work a flexible work schedule
Nice to have:
Knowledge of Marriott CI-TY systems and the Western territory
