Job Description:

As the Sales & Event Manager (Seasonal), you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and managing events for our company during the peak season. You will be responsible for transitioning clients from the sales phase to event coordination and execution. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales and events, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners
  • Develop creative sales strategies to increase sales through up-sells and event add-ons
  • Coordinate all aspects of event planning and execution, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and logistics
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the event planning process, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded
  • Manage event budgets and expenses to ensure profitability
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure a seamless experience for clients and guests
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of events and identify areas for improvement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field
  • Proven experience in sales and event management, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence others
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required, and Marriott CI/TY System preferred
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed
