Sales Engineer – Nationwide (Field-Based). We’re recruiting a nationwide, field-based Sales Engineer to sell a highly technical mechanical solution into sophisticated, engineering-led environments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex, long-cycle sales, enjoys deep technical discovery, and is comfortable engaging everyone from facility engineers to executive leadership. You’ll own a national territory, build pipeline from the ground up, and work closely with internal technical teams to deliver compelling, high-value solutions to mission-critical customers.
Job Responsibility:
Sell a complex mechanical product to data centers, leveraging a strong technical background
Lead in-depth discovery with sophisticated stakeholders across facilities, energy, operations, and executive leadership
Build, qualify, and advance a national sales pipeline with long-cycle opportunities
Conduct on-site technical discovery, solution alignment, and customer presentations
Develop compelling business cases focused on efficiency, reliability, and lifecycle value
Manage complex deals from early-stage qualification through close
Coordinate internally with engineering, product, and technical teams to support specific customer needs
Overnight travel required to customer sites across the U.S. (~40-50%)
Requirements:
Proven success selling complex HVAC or mechanical equipment, retrofit solutions, or similar engineered systems
Strong technical fluency with HVAC systems—ideally chillers, cooling plants, and heat rejection systems
Experience selling into facilities and engineering-led buying processes
Strong executive-level communication and consultative selling skills
Track record of quota attainment and closing large, complex deals (long sales cycles welcome)
