Job Description:

A part-time role at IKEA as a Sales Associate focusing on living room furniture and products. This position involves engaging customers, maintaining the shop floor, promoting sales, and contributing to the IKEA team culture.

Job Responsibility:

Proactively engage customers in need of assistance
Accurately identify customer requirements through insightful questioning and recommend optimal home solutions
Build furniture as needed for In Shape As New, Introduction of new products, commercial calendar implementation and remodels
Keep the area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked
Expand knowledge of IKEA product features and benefits and share expertise with customers
Understand the store and department action plans and contribute to department goals
Implement, maintain, and change out Add-Ons to achieve sales volume, conversion, and Gross Margin goals
Optimize sales and maintain profitability by guiding customers toward high-priority products
Analyze and adjust sales space capacities based on system parameters
Support planned commercial activities in your range
Sell and plan basic modular furniture solutions through specialized training
Promote an inclusive environment embracing diversity

Requirements:

High School Diploma
GED or Equivalent
1 year's relevant work experience
Experience in retail, preferably in the home furnishing sector
Experience in actively selling through understanding customers and their needs
