Job Description:

Responsible for assessing the risk in hotel work environment to minimizing associates’ illness and injury during work hour. Inspecting hazardous factor in the work environment, quality of equipment or facility that used by associates. Lead the organization toward a healthy and safe work environment by advising, monitoring, and reporting in the workplace, and engaging staff in programs that verify safe practices in the workplace.

Job Responsibility:

Assess risk in hotel work environment to minimize associates’ illness and injury
Inspect hazardous factors in work environment, quality of equipment or facility
Lead organization toward healthy and safe work environment by advising, monitoring, and reporting
Engage staff in programs that verify safe practices
Assist management in training, motivating and coaching employees
Serve as role model and first point of contact of Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
Complete safety training and certifications
Verify uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Protect company assets
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
Anticipate and address guests’ service needs
Thank guests with genuine appreciation
Speak with others using clear and professional language
Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely
Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
Support team to reach common goals
Listen and respond appropriately to concerns of other employees
Verify adherence to quality expectations and standards
Read and visually verify information in variety of formats
Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems
Move at speed required to respond to work situations
Stand, sit, or walk for extended period or entire work shift
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing ≤50 pounds without assistance and >75 pounds with assistance
Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and up/down stairs/ramps
Reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, stooping
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Occupational Health and Safety
At least 2 years of related work experience
At least 1 year of supervisory experience
