Policy and Compliance: Implement and enforce all EHS requirements in line with company policy, client-approved plans, legal obligations, and contractual requirements
Risk Management: Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and unsafe work conditions
Training and Awareness: Coordinate and provide safety training and induction programs for employees and subcontractors on job site hazards, safety procedures, and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Incident Management: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures
Documentation and Reporting: Manage and maintain all safety documentation, records of inspections, training, and compliance reports
Equipment and Environment: Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and regular inspection of safety equipment (firefighting equipment, PPE, etc.) to meet quality and safety standards
Coordination: Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, client representatives, and external regulatory agencies to ensure safety is integrated into all activities and operations
Requirements:
5-10 years of demonstrable experience in a safety engineering, risk management, or workplace safety role, often within specific industries like construction, oil & gas, or manufacturing
Proficiency in health & safety practices, EHS processes, occupational health standards, and knowledge of safety compliance requirements
Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills to provide technical guidance and promote a positive safety culture
NEBOSH IGC is typically required or a significant advantage
