As a Safety Administrative Assistant, you will be helping the on-site safety team with administrative tasks at a rural lithium mine in Nevada. You will be responsible for supporting the safety team in all administrative and document control support. Successful candidates will demonstrate a high attention to detail, strong time management skills, and experience working in dynamic team environments. Work schedule and hours: 60-60-50 -- two consecutive weeks of 60 hours each, followed by one week of 50 hours, schedule repeats. This position is not eligible for remote work.
Job Responsibility:
Provide administrative support to our Arizona safety team
Responsible for data entry, maintaining filing systems, training coordination, safety team onboarding, and maintaining records
Supports the safety team on-site with data entry
Coordinate with other administrative team members to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires
Coordinate safety training calendar, instructors, attendees and other logistics
Assist with the uploading, printing, and electronic filing of construction drawings or other documents related to jobsites and safety
Coordinate safety supply orders for all jobsites
Schedules and coordinates meetings, appointments and maintains calendars
Prepares and distributes daily/weekly communications including reports, invoices, transmittals, and various other documents
Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders and corporate headquarter personnel
Maintains filing systems (electronic and physical) with a focus on document control
Supports the team with material purchases and PO tracking
Help manage the safety app or other documentation in Prime
Reports to the Corporate Safety Director, or as designated
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Computer skills, proficient with MS Office Word and Excel, including an eagerness to learn software which is proprietary to Harder
Strong organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate clearly and well to internal and external business partners
Ability to effectively interact with the construction industry personnel and home office staff members
Experience organizing, maintaining, and logging documents
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Previous successful experience in a construction office environment
Team mentality
2-3 years in an administrative role
Experience in a construction environment or similar industrial setting
High school diploma required
Nice to have:
Experience reading construction drawings a plus, but not required
Previous experience working in safety is a plus, but not required
