The main duties and responsibilities of this role include: To undertake all aspects of administration in relation to the safeguarding of students, including but not limited to, the transfer of safeguarding files from High Schools, adding relevant information to CEDAR and liaising with external stakeholders to access relevant information as necessary; To act as a first response for safeguarding incidents as well as dealing with students, staff and parents who need to speak with the Pastoral Care Team, referring such incidents and issues on to the team promptly and as necessary; To provide initial, low-level pastoral support and reassurance to students as part of a triage approach, gathering information and ensuring concerns are escalated promptly to senior members of the Safeguarding Team as appropriate; To support safeguarding responses by locating and accompanying students on site at the request of senior members of the Safeguarding Team; To act as a first point of contact for phone calls related to safeguarding from reception.

Requirements:
GCSEs at Grade A*–C (9–4), or equivalent, in Mathematics and English Language
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with external agencies, parents, and students
Enthusiasm, commitment and a strong dedication to the role
Display the values, attitudes, and behaviours consistent with the Catholic Ethos of the College
