Job Responsibility:
Performs appropriate nursing history and physical assessment upon admission & on an ongoing basis
Ensures that the patient is properly introduced to the unit & his/her surroundings upon arrival in unit
Completes assessment as reflected in nursing notes & admission history.
Provides baseline data pertaining to activities of daily living.
Reflects physiological condition & psychosocial needs of the patient. Reflects perceptions of patient and/or significant others of his/her problem(s) & his/her expectations of the present hospitalization
Provides information needed to begin discharge planning
Requirements:
Graduate of accredited RN program
Registered Nurse: CA
Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days of employment
Pediatric Advanced Life Support - PALS, within 30 Days of employment
