Job Description:

The Retail Supervisor promotes staff engagement and teamwork to provide optimum service so that guest needs are met in the Rooms and Food & Beverage operations. The role involves various responsibilities in both Food and Beverage and Guest Services operations, including inspecting areas, completing inventories, monitoring dining rooms, and ensuring quality standards. The supervisor also assists in hiring, training, and evaluating employees, follows safety policies, and ensures adherence to company standards.

Job Responsibility:

Promote staff engagement and team work
Complete opening and closing duties
Inspect storage areas
Complete scheduled inventories
Monitor dining rooms
Complete work orders for maintenance repairs
Inspect public areas
Arrange turndown for VIPs
Communicate additions or changes to the assignment sheets
Monitor the notations in MARSHA
Keep records of Marriott Rewards enrollments
Review and maintain all Market Rate Codes
Complete designated cashier and closing reports
Review shift logs/daily memo books
Process guest check-ins and promote room up-sales
Ensure rates match market codes
Ensure checks from outlets are scanned and charged to room
Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
Welcome and acknowledge all guests
Speak with others using clear and professional language
Develop and maintain positive working relationships
Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
Read and visually verify information
Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
Enter and locate work-related information
Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects
Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
Reach overhead and below the knees
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
At least 2 years of related work experience
At least 1 year of supervisory experience
