Job Description:

Responsible for the management of a single retail outlet within a hotel. Establishes the merchandise and sales plans for the store and coordinates buying and pricing efforts for appropriate retail categories. Oversees the development of product and physical layout of the store and helps establish retail goals for the property. Works to successfully execute retail operations, continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the department.

Job Responsibility:

Manage day-to-day retail operations
Establish merchandise and sales plans
Coordinate buying and pricing efforts
Oversee product development and physical layout of store
Manage inventory control and purchasing
Ensure compliance with cash control procedures and credit policies
Develop strategic plans for retail store operation
Maintain store appearance and visual merchandising standards
Ensure employee understanding of expectations and parameters
Provide exceptional customer service and handle guest complaints

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED with 4 years experience in retail or related professional area
OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Fashion Merchandising, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Business Administration, or related major with 2 years experience in retail or related professional area
Experience managing retail operations
Knowledge of inventory control and purchasing techniques
Understanding of cash control procedures and credit policies
Ability to develop strategic plans for retail operations
