Job Description:

Summerland Farm, one of Australia's leading social enterprises and a business of Aruma Services, is seeking an experienced and Retail Lead to lead the strategy, performance, and evolution of a diverse retail portfolio including the Farm Shop, Cafe, Nursery, and online store. The role involves working as part of the Hospitality & Tourism leadership team with direct influence over buying, merchandising, staffing, and the customer journey across all channels. The position offers opportunities for growth and shaping the next phase of development at a premier agritourism destination.

Job Responsibility:

Lead, inspire and develop a diverse team of around 40 staff, including casuals, juniors and supported employees, building a high-performing and inclusive culture, with a formal induction and orientation process
Drive growth by identifying opportunities to improve retail performance, enhance product presentation and elevate the customer journey
Take the lead in preparing for new retail concepts and business units to launch in 2026
Help position Summerland Farm as a must-visit Northern Rivers destination.

Requirements:

Proven experience in multi-channel or destination-based retail, ideally with e-commerce and sound merchandising skills
Commercial acumen with a track record of improving sales performance and operational efficiency
A people-first leadership style with a focus on team development, coaching and accountability
A proactive, adaptable mindset and an eye for detail
