Job Description:

Located in Toowoomba and reporting to the Support Manager or Service Leader, this role involves working within the purpose and values of Aruma. You will be part of a high-performing Support Team delivering a positive customer experience to individuals in your care within a residential setting. The role includes mentoring, career progression potential, and the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young people with complex needs.

Job Responsibility:

Provide direct care within a residential setting, ensuring a safe and nurturing home-like environment and promoting positive family relationships
Work within a trauma-informed framework to support young people who have complex needs and challenging behaviours

Requirements:

Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care), or equivalent or working towards
Valid Australian full driver’s licence, for the state you have applied for
Valid Australian working rights
Willingness to complete a Child Safety and Personal Screening Check
Hold (or are willing to obtain) a Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid and CPR qualifications

Nice to have:

Availability to work any rostered shifts across a 24/7 roster model, including awake nights and sleepovers
Passionate about supporting young people who have experienced trauma and have a disability
