Job Description:

This is a highly technical role providing post-sales on-site support for Juniper Network products. The position requires technical expertise in network products, design, implementation, and troubleshooting in a service-provider environment. Onsite role with occasional travel and participation in critical issue resolution.

Job Responsibility:

Serve as SME on Juniper products and technologies
Understand the customer’s organizational structure
Become familiar with customer's network implementation and support procedures
Carry out testing of new designs, features, and functionality in a laboratory environment
Help develop implementation plans to ensure operation in live production networks
Validate patches and fixes to operating system software
Troubleshoot equipment and network problems
Initiate and track JTAC cases through to resolution
Produce written summary reports for design projects, equipment, and network problems
Hold network information gathering workshops with the customer
Train customer’s design, implementation, and support personnel
Peer with employees performing similar roles to minimize risk in network upgrades
Develop secondary skills in other products in the customer network

Requirements:

US citizenship required
DOD Secret clearance required
Strong interpersonal skills
Detailed technical experience in installation and operation of routers, switches, and firewalls
Understanding of service provider protocols surrounding IP networks (TCP/IP, RSVP, Segment Routing, etc.)
Experience in network routing protocol troubleshooting (BGP, IS-IS, MPLS)
Experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN)
Hands-on configuration and operational knowledge of Juniper products
5+ years experience in a large service provider network
Unix/Linux experience
Automation and scripting experience a plus
JNCIP, JNCIE, CCNP, CCIE a strong plus
