Prior Requisition Conversion or event experience preferred
Must be able to work overnight hours, weekends and holidays
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs on a frequent basis
Ability to stand on feet for up to 8 hours at a time, and to kneel, stoop, and reach above head in conjunction with Requisition Conversion tasks
Ability to safely and efficiently operate hand and power tools

Job Responsibility

Ensures set-ups and tear downs for events are completed according to specifications in a safe and timely manner
Arrives for work on time for each scheduled shift in uniform and ready to work
Performs set-up and tear down duties for all events to include (but not limited to) basketball (including set and alignment of basketball floor), volleyball, concerts, family shows and special events, locker rooms, VIP rooms, portable chairs, tables, seating platforms
Performs daily operations and general building maintenance during non-event days
Works safely, quickly and efficiently to meet all deadlines
Maintains a positive, outgoing demeanor

Requirements

Demonstrate knowledge in industry terminology, NFPA life safety codes, general and local IATSE policies and procedures, facility capabilities, operational procedures, OSHA guidelines, event coordination and production/technical related services
Demonstrate general knowledge and understanding of theatrical rigging, stage building, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, telephone and internet support, show power, electrical work, exhibition show sets and field wiring, ice rink operations, banquet sets and meeting room functions
Ability to work with limited supervision, prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously while exercising judgment and initiative in addressing complaints and resolving problems
Ability to train and direct employees to plan and assign work in an efficient and effective manner
Ability to operate sound, lighting, audio-visual and other industry related equipment
High school diploma or GED required and/or experience with management, theatre and technical production
Hands-on, professional event production experience in the industry for arena, theatre, stadium, and/or convention center
or equivalent combination of education and experience
skill in Windows, MS Office, CAD and Adobe
Possess any licenses, certificates or training required by local, state or national authorities for the operation of the equipment found at the facility, in particular rigging, carpentry, stage production, electrical, vehicles (Zamboni, forklift, tenant, etc.) is preferred

Job Responsibility

Supervise labor calls for local IATSE, along with any additional contracted labor force for production
Assist in developing and executing a plan to fulfill riders, advances, labor calls, and equipment for events
Facilitate scheduling, training, and evaluation of part-time production employees
Produce events while maintaining a high degree of public safety in line with all life safety codes
Ensure set up is completed as required with the proper equipment provided
Work with all departments as needed to maintain technical and event related equipment in the venue
Administer follow-up inspections to ensure work is complete and provide evaluation reports
Provide quality service and execution through daily operations and event production
Facilitate venue readiness by supervising and working along with various labor crews during Requisition Conversions, load in, show, load out, and meeting room services
Participate in securing the venue during daily operations, event days, emergency operations and venue closures
