The Relationship Associate is a seasoned professional role. The role applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the area or function. Responsibilities include building relationships with client networks, managing credit-related documentation, assisting in regulatory compliance (KYC), and collaborating with teams across Citi’s global network.
Job Responsibility:
builds relationships with client network and operational teams, becoming a key contact for internal requests/problem escalation and resolution
ensures timely completion of Know Your Client (KYC) and other regulatory requirements, in partnership with product partners and Relationship Managers (RMs)
helps clients to access Citi’s global network, locating local coverage and product support across the globe
works with RMs and product partners to on-board new clients/new subsidiaries and KYC/initial credit set-ups completed
coordinates credit requests and approvals from Citi’s global network
engages with product partners and Citi’s global network to identify revenue opportunities and to position certain products with clients
ensures periodic support discussions are held with clients and are correctly documented
maintains correct client legal and marketing hierarchies
partners with Credit Admin team to ensure credit documentation is kept current: FX, derivatives, Loans, LCs and other credit-related documents
partners with Credit Admin team to monitor usage of credit lines, and partnering with Independent Risk during client annual reviews
assists in implementation of cash transactions for banker
appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Requirements:
5-8 years of relevant experience in a financial services environment
demonstrated expertise in Commercial Banking Products, with a proven track record of developing and delivering sound solutions to clients
strong experience in Pipeline and Relationship Management
proficiency with Salesforce
proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve common goals
exceptional organizational skills
strong problem recognition and resolution capabilities
ability to perform effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities concurrently, and consistently serve as a key point of contact
highly effective communication skills, adaptable to various audiences, including clients, bankers, and internal product partners
excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
proactive approach to strengthening business relationships, focused on delivering a simple, secure, and seamless client experience
advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
