Reinsurance Technician

• Support ceded reinsurance transactions, including premiums, commissions, recoveries, and operational reporting
• Maintain the Outwards Reinsurance subledger, including contract references and credit control ledgers
• Track and collect reinsurance rebates, liaising with Finance and brokers
• Assist with reinsurance security reviews, applying benchmarks and analysis
• Collaborate with actuarial teams to review quarterly reserves by programme
• Collate and distribute Outwards Reinsurance data accurately and on time
• Assist with transaction settlements via market systems and provide supporting documentation
• Manage reinsurance recovery billing, aged debt reports, and credit control processes
• Produce collection/advice/precautionary notes through to settlement
• Prepare monthly reports on outstanding balances and paid/incurred movements
• Assist with reporting on premium adjustments, collateral monitoring, and syndicate submissions
• Work with Finance on cash application and reconciliation
• Contribute to process improvements and reporting automation

• Experience within the London Market is highly beneficial (minimum 2 years preferred)
• Operational experience, ideally within Outwards Reinsurance
• Familiarity with Reinsurance market systems
• Exposure to Lloyd’s reporting advantageous
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities
• CII qualifications or working towards (desirable)
