Randstad is proud to be recruiting for a Registered Manager on behalf of a valued client that provides exceptional care and support to vulnerable children and young people in the Kidderminster/ Worcestershire area. As a Registered Manager, you will guide a team in fostering a warm, therapeutic environment where children can heal, grow, and reach their full potential. Your leadership will be grounded in a culture of emotional safety and connection, helping each child thrive in a home full of trust, compassion, and growth. The therapeutic approach is shaped by the principles of PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) and Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP), where every interaction is driven by connection, empathy, and mutual respect. Our client is a child-focused, trauma-informed organisation committed to creating positive outcomes for children who have faced complex trauma.
Job Responsibility:
Taking full operational and regulatory oversight of the children's home
Leading the team with a therapeutic mindset, integrating PACE and DDP in daily practices
Building and nurturing a culture within the team that aligns with our core values
Ensuring the emotional and developmental needs of the children are supported through trauma-informed care
Championing positive outcomes for each child by tailoring individual care plans and interventions
Providing reflective supervision and demonstrating emotionally intelligent leadership
Ensuring compliance with Ofsted requirements, and actively contributing to continuous service improvement
Collaborating with families, professionals, and external partners to deliver a holistic care approach
Requirements:
At least 4 years of experience in residential childcare
Management role with a proven track record of Ofsted 'Good' or higher for a minimum of 2 years
Holds the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Deep understanding of trauma, attachment, and child development
Committed to DDP-informed care and the principles of the PACE model
Leads with a blend of compassion, accountability, and a deep understanding of relational care
Open to dual registration across two 2-bed homes in the future
Strong advocate for co-regulation, reflective practice, and a child-centred approach
Comfortable working closely with regulators and passionate about achieving Outstanding outcomes
