Buckland Care is seeking an exceptional Registered Manager to lead The Orchards, a warm and well-established care home with a strong local reputation and a ‘Good’ CQC rating. This is a fantastic opportunity to take pride in a home where high standards, kindness, and community come first. You’ll be supported by an experienced Area Manager, two Deputies, and an on-site Administrator—giving you the structure and backing to focus on great care and great leadership.

Job Responsibility:

  • Leading the day-to-day operations of the home with care, professionalism, and visibility
  • Ensuring residents receive outstanding person-centred care at all times
  • Creating a positive, supportive culture where staff feel motivated and valued
  • Driving and maintaining CQC compliance and continuous quality improvement
  • Managing staffing, occupancy, budgets, and resources effectively
  • Building strong relationships with residents, families, professionals, and the local community
  • Supporting and developing your team through coaching, training, and example-setting leadership

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Significant experience in the care sector, with proven Registered Manager experience in elderly residential or nursing care
  • Strong knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, and best practice
  • Excellent people management and team-building skills
  • A calm, proactive approach with strong organisational ability
  • Confidence managing compliance, performance, and budgets
  • Lives within 30 minutes’ drive of The Orchards
