Global Strategic Analysis—Uber's in-house risk intelligence team—is seeking an experienced Intelligence Analyst Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our team in the Americas region. Our team supports multiple internal stakeholder customers, including those focused on security of our personnel and facilities, law enforcement liaison, compliance, and investigations, by producing hundreds of assessments a year focused on risks to Uber. We need an intelligence manager to mentor and develop analytic tradecraft, provide editing and review to teammates' assessments, conduct regular cadence briefings, and engage with a wide variety of stakeholders for prioritization and scheduling. This role does not focus on cyber threat intelligence or technical cybersecurity analysis.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and manage a team of intelligence analysts, mentoring analytic tradecraft, setting quality standards, and providing editorial review of risk assessments and intelligence products
Oversee the production and delivery of strategic intelligence assessments addressing global security, crime, civil stability, and environmental risks impacting Uber’s people, operations, and facilities
Brief senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders on emerging risks, trends, and priority issues through regular cadence briefings and ad hoc updates
Partner closely with global stakeholders to prioritize intelligence requirements, align timelines, and ensure intelligence is decision-relevant
Requirements:
10+ years of professional experience in intelligence analysis, strategic risk analysis, or threat assessment within government, consulting, corporate security, risk, or related environments
2+ years of people management or team leadership experience, including mentoring analysts and providing structured feedback on analytic products
Demonstrated ability to produce, edit, and quality-control analytic assessments for senior decision-makers, including written products and verbal briefings
Strong grounding in analytic tradecraft, including structured analytic techniques, sourcing standards, confidence assessment, and bias mitigation
Advanced proficiency in English and fluent Brazilian Portuguese. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to have:
Subject-matter expertise in one or more of the following domains: violent extremism, transnational crime, civil unrest, political violence, and natural disasters
Experience engaging with multiple global stakeholders to prioritize intelligence requirements, manage competing timelines, and translate risk into business-relevant insights
Comfort working in a high-output, fast-paced environment with ambiguous or evolving risk questions
Other language skills, especially Spanish, are highly desirable.
