Citi is hiring a Centralized Team Analyst to support RegInsight implementation for Local Regulatory Reporting in Asia, involving regulatory report reviews, data quality checks, rule-writing, and testing. The candidate will support governance standards, assist process migrations, and engage with cross-functional teams to optimize regulatory reporting processes.
Job Responsibility:
Review local regulatory reports across the region to identify common reports and set up standards for classification
identify and analyze country’s critical data elements and attributes for LRR
perform data quality review in particular for data coming from systems other than Genesis
help to resolve data issues by interacting with multiple functions like country Finance, FRSS and Global Data Services teams
liaise with country Finance SMEs, Technology colleagues of GFTS, and other relevant parties to write LRR rules in Rule Harmony for countries
assist country to design and perform UAT and parallel testing
support countries to implement other LRR projects e.g. Local RWA Optima RegInsight Implementation program
assist countries to institutionalize global LRR Governance standards and processes for issue tracking and reporting, GRITT maintenance, and to facilitate oversight
perform on-going review, e.g. EUCs, to help standardize and optimize current LRR processes to increase efficiency and enhance controls
support RegInsight LRR change management activities
provide support to in-country Finance teams
lead/participate in future process migration activities
appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Requirements:
4-6 years of work experience in accounting (IFRS, local or US GAAP), financial reporting/auditing role
prior experience in regulatory reporting role is an advantage
financial product knowledge
strong planning & organizational skills
efficient and effective time management
fluent English knowledge
professional communication & interpersonal skills
excellent analytical skills
advanced MS Excel knowledge
university/college degree in finance/accounting/IT
highly motivated with analytical & problem solving abilities
ability to interpret & implement regulatory guidelines & professional standards
demonstrated ability to complete tasks within tight deadlines
excellent ability to pay attention to details and handle large volume of data
able to work under pressure in different locations and in virtual teams
creative, proactive and flexible
enthusiastic team player
Nice to have:
Ability to apply ETL (Enhance, Transform, Load) techniques to transform data into usable format for consumption
basic Oracle/SQL/MS-Access knowledge
knowledge of an additional Asia language
project management experience and other IT skills
