Job Description:

This is a full-time role for a Receiving Supervisor at The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman. The role involves coordinating the receiving of goods, validating compliance with purchase orders, conducting inventory audits, troubleshooting vendor issues, and ensuring adherence to safety standards. The candidate will assist in training and managing employees while maintaining clear records, enforcing company policies, and exemplifying the 'Gold Standards' of The Ritz-Carlton.

Job Responsibility:

Review and understand suppliers, quotations, and approved purchase orders
Coordinate receiving of goods as ordered and communicate with end-users on supplier adherence to approved purchase orders and quotations
Validate compliance adherence on price, quantity, and quality of received goods
Identify supplier offers or extended rebate programs
Troubleshoot vendor delivery issues
Prepare and submit variance reports
Report discrepancies or damage
Conduct inventory audits
Verify and track received inventory
Reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports
Assist management in training, scheduling, counseling, and motivating employees
Maintain clear records and ensure adherence to food safety and handling policies
Follow all company policies and procedures
Perform manual labor including lifting and moving objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds

Requirements:

A minimum of 1 year related work experience in procurement, purchasing, or related professional area
Strong computer skills and the ability to solve problems and make decisions without supervision
Ability to work with a diverse team
Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
Must be detailed oriented, able to multi-task, and have good time management skills

Nice to have:

At least 2 years of related work experience
At least 1 year of supervisory experience
