Quereinsteiger:in als Rangierbegleiter:in. 4-month internal retraining in Munich prepares for the job entry. After retraining, responsible for the preparation and assembly of freight trains.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assemble freight trains in shunting yards with the shunting locomotive driver
  • Couple and uncouple wagons of incoming and outgoing trains
  • Secure parked wagons
  • Connect brake systems on the train
  • Perform brake tests and visual inspections
  • Handle freight and accompanying documents
  • Prepare or pick up individual wagons at customer sites as part of service trips
  • Reliably support shunting locomotive drivers in observing the route during shunting movements

Requirements:

  • School successfully completed
  • Previous professional experience (e.g., as production staff, construction helper, or warehouse worker)
  • Medical and psychological suitability (checked by company doctor)
  • Enjoyment of physical work outdoors
  • Conscientious work ethic
  • Enjoy working in a team
  • Ability to cope with shift and alternating duty, including weekends and holidays
