Pivotal in producing diagnostic images specifically tailored for pediatric patients, enabling accurate diagnoses and effective management of their conditions. Must deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging in a pediatric context, encompassing expertise in child-friendly workflow, age-appropriate patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses in children.
Job Responsibility:
Produce diagnostic images for pediatric patients
Perform imaging examinations on children including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs
Create a comforting and positive experience for young patients and their families
Assure that the rights of the patient/family are respected and maintained
Allow for privacy and modesty in the provision of care
Identify self by name and title to patient/family
Determine presence/type of Advanced Directive
Report suspected cases of abuse/neglect
Understand role of, and how to access, the Bioethics Committee
Requirements:
Graduate of a Radiology Program
Minimum 5 years of Radiologic Technology experience
CA Radiology Technologist License
American Heart Association BLS
Fluoroscopy
