As a Team Leader on the newly formed Self-Service team in our Tel Aviv Office, you’ll play a vital role in establishing one of Taboola’s newest and strategic growth domains- empowering advertisers and partners to independently build, optimize, and scale their campaigns. You’ll lead a team of talented engineers to design and develop large-scale, self-service systems from the ground up- creating new foundations, exploring unknowns, and shaping the core of Taboola’s growth.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the creation of Taboola’s new Self-Service platform from the ground up, defining its core architecture and direction
  • Build and guide a skilled engineering team that delivers quality solutions and works well together
  • Work closely with Product, Business, and UX to build simple, data-driven self-service tools
  • Connect the Self-Service platform with other Taboola systems for a seamless user experience
  • Encourage innovation, automation, and continuous improvement to move faster and make smarter decisions

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience managing engineers or leading complex technical projects
  • 4+ years of hands-on backend development experience in Java or a similar OOP language
  • Proven experience designing and building distributed systems at scale
  • Strong computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, concurrency)
  • Experience driving projects from ideation to production in fast-moving environments
