Lead and grow a dynamic quality team, implementing global standards within a leading fast-moving consumer goods company in Japan. You will oversee all aspects of quality management, drive improvement and innovation across local, regional, and global teams, and deploy global quality standards within the Japan market.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and develop a high-performing quality team
Implement and maintain Company's Quality Management System (QMS)
Conduct regular quality audits across in-house factories, third-party manufacturers (3PM), warehouses, and suppliers
Manage innovation projects, providing quality feedback to product design
Oversee consumer safety and incident management, including product recalls
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, R&D, supply chain, etc.) to drive continuous improvement
Deploy Company's global quality standards and initiatives within the Japan market
Establish and lead a quality committee encompassing a wide range of stakeholders.
Requirements:
Proven experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment (food or FMCG preferred)
Mastery of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), hygiene standards, and relevant quality regulations
Extensive knowledge and practical application of quality tools and methodologies
Experience leading and mentoring a team
Excellent communication skills in both English and Japanese
Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in implementing quality systems in a manufacturing environment
Understanding of consumer safety regulations
Experience working with international teams.
