SP Industries Inc. is expanding our team in Vineland, NJ and have an immediate opening for a Quality Inspector - NMR. In this role, the right candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all NMR components and assemblies meet strict quality standards and specifications. This includes dimensional checks, visual inspections, and functional verification of parts used in NMR systems. The role requires proficiency in precision measurement tools, adherence to regulatory and safety guidelines, and a strong understanding of NMR product requirements. Hours are Monday- Thursday on 1st Shift - 4/10s schedule.
Job Responsibility:
Inspect NMR components and assemblies for dimensional accuracy and tolerance compliance according to engineering specifications
Perform visual inspections for surface finish, cleanliness, and assembly integrity based on NMR product guidelines
Use and maintain specialized measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) and visual inspection equipment relevant to NMR parts
Verify magnet housing, coils, and associated hardware meet required standards for alignment and structural integrity
Read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and NMR-specific documentation
Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records for NMR products
Communicate with supervision regarding equipment calibration needs, low supply levels, or any deviations from standard conditions
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, including proper PPE usage and waste disposal
Maintain knowledge of NMR product quality standards and production processes
Keep work area clean and organized to prevent contamination of sensitive NMR components
Report unsafe conditions, spills, leaks, or incidents immediately to supervision
Requirements:
Experience in quality control within a precision manufacturing environment, ideally involving NMR or similar high-tech products
Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications
Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and inspection tools
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
High School Diploma or GED required
