Job Responsibility:

  • Provides consultation, education and professional support for Hospital‑wide and departmental quality improvement programs, projects and initiatives
  • Educates and advises on methods, tools and techniques for monitoring and assessing quality of care and compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements
  • Provides support for implementation and evaluation of hospital and unit/department based quality improvement programs and serves as project manager for designated programs/projects
  • Designs and administers customer surveys and analyzes, interprets and presents results
  • Plans and conducts educational programs for hospital staff
  • Provides consultation for medical staff, management and hospital departments
  • Participates in and provides support for hospital and unit/department based committees, programs and special projects
  • Serves as project manager for designated hospital quality improvement projects, programs and initiatives
  • Analyzes and interprets data and prepares and presents recommendations to improve quality of care
  • Responds to requests for data from insurers and other external organizations
  • Maintains knowledge of current professional and industry trends and practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Management or a closely related field required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Two years of data management experience in a clinical setting is required
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience in data management may substitute
  • Analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and in depth, experienced based knowledge
  • Communication skills in order to persuade and negotiate with others on important matters
