Job Description:

As a Quality Auditor you'll be driving a quality culture across our Crewkerne site. Coaching and motivating the key stakeholders you'll be working with, you'll be acting as a catalyst for influencing continuous improvement and better ways of working. This position is for day/late shift (10am until 10pm) working a 4on 4off shift pattern. You'll be working with a variety of stakeholder on a range of project and initiatives to drive improvements during a hugely exciting time at Cannington as we embark on a number of site specific initiatives and launches.

Job Responsibility:

  • Upholding legal, customer and consumers expectations, and ensuring we are operating in a true quality, food safety focused, working environment
  • Supporting and coaching all site functions on food safety and quality aspects of production
  • Providing an operationally proactive Quality Assurance presence in order to monitor real time manufacturing Product Quality and Compliance to Quality Standards and Technical Procedures
  • Supporting cross functional improvements when required across all key stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Formal qualification or demonstrable experience
  • HACCP level 3
  • Food safety level 3

  • Audit compliance against Quality Management Systems, GMP and HACCP controls, raising all non-conformances against relevant standards with objective evidence
  • Effectively communicate to enable the operational teams to take the appropriate and necessary corrective action – then follow up and monitor completion of actions
  • Understand the site traceability system to complete audits to demonstrate compliance and retrieve information for investigation purposes
  • Take samples (micro, nutritional, swab and organoleptic) against specific schedules and communicate the progress in a timely manner
  • Prepare and facilitate taste panels in accordance with procedure - ensuring that all results are accurately recorded and communicated to site
  • Calibration of measurement equipment in accordance with schedules and procedures
  • Assist the QA Supervisor in carrying out full investigations on specifications (micro and nutritional), complaints and incidents
  • Support NPD trials and product launches, assisting in micro testing and product life assessment to ensure products are manufactured to the correct standard as necessary
  • Provide technical support and advice to the factory team in the event of customer visit or audit
  • Coordination of day to day activities to deliver improvement of Technical KPIs
