Individuals in Quality Assurance are responsible for assessing outcomes from activities against applicable requirements to strengthen risk management quality. The role involves conducting quality assurance reviews, monitoring controls, and ensuring adherence to risk control policies and standards.
ensure quality, completeness, and accuracy of Control Framework implementation
lead assessments of activities and processes to strengthen credit risk management quality
conduct routine testing of internal activities and processes to ensure adherence to quality standards
respond to quality assurance complaints in a timely and efficient manner
integrate stakeholder/client feedback
develop and execute Monitoring and Testing for controls
regularly report on quality control outcomes and control effectiveness
assess risk when making business decisions
ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations
supervise team activities and create accountability.
Requirements:
Solid understanding of risk management and control frameworks related to Counterparty Credit Risk Management and Underwriting
credit underwriting experience within the financial institutions / funds / hedge funds area
demonstratable control related function / quality assurance experience in banking, credit risk management, internal audit, or quality assurance review function at an investment or large commercial bank
ability to identify, measure, and manage key risks and controls
ability to see the big pictures
deep knowledge of Wholesale Credit Processes and organizational awareness, covered portfolios, and processes
proficient knowledge of regulatory guidance specific to quality assurance and monitoring/testing lifecycle
developing new ideas and improving current processes to proactively mitigate risks
ability to make recommendations for risk and controls remediation
expert knowledge in the development and execution for controls
understanding of compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and best practices
strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
strong analytical skills to evaluate complex risk and control activities and processes
compelling presentation delivery
ability to influence executive audiences
strong sense of accountability and ownership
excellent communication skills across stakeholder groups
exceptional command of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
