Play a key role in ensuring the effectiveness and continual improvement of the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) by developing and maintaining QA Manuals and Procedures, leading internal and external quality audits, and driving compliance with industry and customer standards. This role is also responsible for overseeing quality incident investigations, reviewing and validating corrective actions, and managing third-party (3P) quality assessments and qualifications. Liaise and collaborate with the plant QC, production, and technology teams to ensure consistent product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement including delivering monthly quality reports.
Job Responsibility:
Develop, implement, and maintain plant-specific QA procedures aligned with global QA manual, ISO standards and industry best practices
Periodically review and update the QA procedures
Conduct routine internal audits across production, laboratory, and warehouse operations
Work closely with the production and laboratory teams to close identified gaps
Investigate customer complaints, product non-conformances, and quality deviations
Perform structured root cause analysis
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective measures
Review corrective action reports submitted by stakeholders
Maintain a database of quality incidents, corrective actions, and lessons learned
Act as the primary point of contact for external quality audits (ISO, OEM, customer audits, etc.)
Prepare audit readiness plans
Conduct quality assessments and qualification of 3P manufacturers and toll blenders or suppliers
Oversee product trials, quality capability assessments, and certification processes for new 3P partners
Collaborate with procurement and technical teams to qualify raw materials, additives, and packaging suppliers
Undertake necessary communications in order to satisfy NATA requirements
Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across production and QA/QC teams
Communicate and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
Requirements:
A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in Quality assurance
Sound knowledge of the requirements standard like ISO 9001
Excellent time management and project management skills
Excellent and effective communication skills
A highly motivated and self-starting individual
A thought leader who works well across organizations
Hands on team player with high energy and enthusiasm for continuous process improvements
Strong PC skills: MS Excel, Power Point, and Word
SAP knowledge is strongly preferred
Nice to have:
A background in lubricant (desired) or automotive or automotive related activities or chemical is a plus
Familiarity with IATF 16949 Int QMS shall be desired
