We are seeking a qualified, enthusiastic, and compassionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team in Beckenham. This permanent, full-time position is integral to delivering high-quality early years care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will support the development, welfare, and learning of children aged 0-5 years, ensuring a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Job Responsibility:
Plan, prepare and implement stimulating activities and learning experiences tailored to children’s individual needs and interests
Observe and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in line with EYFS requirements
Promote positive behaviour management techniques and support children’s social, emotional, and physical development
Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children at all times, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support each child’s development and wellbeing
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe environment conducive to learning and exploration
Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings to uphold the highest standards of childcare
Requirements:
Recognised childcare qualification at Level 3 or above (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma, NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent)
Experience working with children aged 0-5 years in a nursery or early years setting
Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework
Current paediatric first aid certificate or willingness to obtain one promptly
Understanding of safeguarding legislation and commitment to safeguarding best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
Ability to work as part of a team and independently with initiative and enthusiasm
