Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified, enthusiastic, and compassionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team in Beckenham. This permanent, full-time position is integral to delivering high-quality early years care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will support the development, welfare, and learning of children aged 0-5 years, ensuring a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan, prepare and implement stimulating activities and learning experiences tailored to children’s individual needs and interests
  • Observe and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in line with EYFS requirements
  • Promote positive behaviour management techniques and support children’s social, emotional, and physical development
  • Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children at all times, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support each child’s development and wellbeing
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe environment conducive to learning and exploration
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings to uphold the highest standards of childcare

Requirements:

  • Recognised childcare qualification at Level 3 or above (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma, NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children aged 0-5 years in a nursery or early years setting
  • Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework
  • Current paediatric first aid certificate or willingness to obtain one promptly
  • Understanding of safeguarding legislation and commitment to safeguarding best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently with initiative and enthusiasm
