The QA/QC Engineer is responsible to ensure that the work executed on site is in accordance to the project specifications and drawings, records are produced, logged and filed appropriately.
Job Responsibility:
Review, communicate and implement the Project Quality Plan on site
Ability to develop project Quality Plan in compliance to client’s guidelines and requirement on Quality and requirements as per ISO Quality Management System ISO9001-2015
Develop checklists and inspection test plans for site works
Review work procedures and material technical specifications to ensure their compliance with the contract's quality requirements and the implemented quality system
Raise Non Conformance Reports (NCRs), when necessary, and communicate quality non-compliance issues to the Project Manager
Ensure all NCRs are adequately monitored and concerns dealt with effectively and in a timely fashion
Coordinate with associated engineer for the FAT of individual equipment to ensure that factory inspection is conducted in accordance to approved FAT procedure
Ensure suppliers and sub-contractors meet the project specified quality requirements
Implementing method statements, checklists and inspection test plans for site works
Manage the quality inspection process of work and materials on site
Implement the company established quality programmes to achieve the set quality objectives and targets
Manage and facilitate the follow up process on site related actions highlighted in management review meetings
Prepare and follow up on quality related snags during hand over
Prepare and submit the weekly progress reports to the project manager, detailing the status of ongoing activities
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
A minimum of 06+ years of relevant experience as a QA/QC engineer in the power transmission projects, preferably involving high-voltage equipment
Possess strong understanding of substation equipment and electrical systems
Ability to interpret technical drawings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
Possess strong problem solving, and communication skills
Nice to have:
Certification in Internal Quality Auditing would be an advantage
